With this being the last event in the Aberdeen Corporate Decathlon 2007, it was inevitable that the Volleyball Challenge was going to be a thrilling event.
Shell EPE had a fantastic day, with all the training paying off to take home the winners trophy and the 100 points on offer at this event, which now sees them sitting in top spot in the table by 49 points. But remember we still have the Personal Health Challenge results which will be announced on Friday 2nd November at the Sports Ball.
Grampian Police finished in second place, after winning every game of the day quite comfortably until the final, where they just couldn?t quite manage to take home the winners trophy this year, but were still pleased with their efforts to finish in second place.
PSN had their best result of the year, finishing in third place and Scottish Enterprise Grampian finished in 4th.
The Plate competition was as exciting with Aberdeen City Council and SAIC having a close contended match, but it was Aberdeen City Council who managed to claim this title by 4 points ahead of SAIC. Stewart Milne and Subsea7 claim joint third/fourth place.
Congratulations one and all - a great tournament full of excellent rallies and committment from every player. Thanks to Aberdeen & South Grampian District Volleyball Association for all the coaching sessions and thank you to all the ref?s that helped out on the day!!
Good Luck to those of you who are going on to join the club and play this season!
Hope to see you at the Sports Ball!!
