The intermittent showers couldn?t put a dampener on the Aberdeen Corporate Decathlon Golf Challenge as the team set the course alight with lots of low scores on both days. Despite heavy rain on Wednesday night the fabulous Lairds course at Inchmarlo Golf Club was in excellent condition, testing your golf skills to the fullest. This event was run over two days this year, as it was one of the biggest golf events in the North East with 46 teams competing. There were winners on each day and the results being added together for the overall Decathlon Points.
The Thursday?s competition was won by Wood Group, with Shell 1 in 2nd place and Wood Group Wild Card team in 3rd place. The handicap competition was won by Shell 1, with Wood Group in 2nd and M-I Swaco in third.
The Friday?s competition was won by overall winners from last year Royal Mail, and Grampian Police closely behind in 2nd place, and Accenture in third. The handicap competition was won by Total UK Ltd, 2nd Royal Mail and 3rd Venture.
For the overall decathlon results the winners of the Aberdeen Corporate Decathlon Golf Challenge 2007, goes to Wood Group! In second place only 1.5 points behind Wood Group, goes to Royal Mail and in third place is Grampian Police. Accenture had a great day, which showed as they finished in 4th.
Currently sitting top of the Decathlon Table we have Royal Mail, 2nd Grampian Police and closely followed by only 1 point of a difference is Shell 1.
